Bharati Suresh Chand is a pharmacist by profession and an award-winning speaker by passion, with over 27 years of experience in pharmacy, complementary medicine, and corporate training. She is the Founder & CEO of both Global Edge Consultancy and Global Edge Pharma Sdn Bhd, a compounding pharmacy established during the pandemic. Bharati has been honored with multiple accolades including the Darjah Johan Negeri (DJN) from the Penang State Government, SME Icon Penang 2023, and a feature in Britishpedia’s Most Successful People of Malaysia. She currently serves as Chairman of NAWEM Penang and as a Director of Koperasi Farmasi Pulau Pinang Berhad.

Dato’ Ong Bee Leng is the Chief Executive Officer of the Penang Women’s Development Corporation (PWDC), where she has spent the past eight years leading initiatives to mainstream gender in public policy and empower women across Penang. With over 35 years of experience in education and human capital development, she brings deep expertise in organisational excellence, business development, and strategic program delivery. A graduate of Universiti Sains Malaysia in Mathematics and Statistics, Dato’ Ong has spearheaded impactful programs such as Wanita Jana Rezeki and PenMentor, resulting in a 50% average income increase for participants. She also championed the Women Assembly platform and played a key role in drafting Penang’s Top-Up Women-Only Additional Seats (TWOAS) White Paper. Under her leadership, PWDC has driven campaigns like Penang Goes Orange and implemented state policies including the Gender Inclusiveness Policy and Safe Family Policy, while advancing the target of 30% women’s representation across state government levels. In addition to her civic and professional contributions, she has served over a decade as a Lieutenant in the Malaysian Territorial Army and remains active in NGOs, advocating for inclusive growth and opportunity.
